Papa Downtown (2015)

Back: Song Ideas

Wrote this while living in Redwood City.

Papa Downtown
by Bo Morgan

VERSE 1

Sometimes, I like what I’m looking at.
Sometimes, I put it in my pocket.
Sometimes, its too big to fit in my pocket.

Now and then, I’ve just gotta leave it sitting there.
Now and then, it’s impossible to move.

Consequently, it’s as if it’s been glued.
Consequently, I need something smooth to use.

CHORUS

A papa downtown around about back again
A hiccup in time will take you down

I keep it on top water flow downhill
I keep it behind I move for …

VERSE 2

This is the big dog Budda.
This is the big cat Schmoo.

CHORUS x 1

VERSE 3

I love when the wind in your hair blows behind your ears.
I fear when the stars are gone from your eyes.
I love when a dog and his master are getting along.
I fear when there’s loneliness in your sigh.

CHORUS x 1
